The final "storm" of winter 2009-10?

2

How did you arrive at the current TP Index value?

The forecast is for temperatures in the upper 40s and maybe an inch of accumulation. I'm not even really sure why I'm updating this. :D As always, the weather in the area can turn on a dime, so I'll update this later if the forecast models change. I think, even if it does get worse... we're not going to see another huge snow this season.

In the meantime, get out and enjoy this nearly springtime weather.

The BEER INDEX

The new baseline BEER INDEX (BI) will be 12. It's always a good idea to keep this many on hand for entertainment purposes in the event of a spontaneous party.

The CHOCOLATE INDEX

It's been suggested that I also include a CHOCOLATE INDEX (CI). To my way of thinking, the chocolate index is ALWAYS 100. :) But what do y'all think?

What the heck is this?

The TPIndex is the number of toilet paper rolls you need in addition to your current supply in order to ensure you'll have enough to meet your needs during the upcoming winter weather.

Where is the TPIndex valid?

The TPIndex is valid for the Central Maryland region, including Frederick, Carroll, Montgomery and Washington Counties. It can also be a useful indicator for the greater Baltimore and Washington DC regions, but may not be as accurate as winter weather forecasts can vary wildly in this area.
