I've come to the conclusion that Punxsutawney Phil can suck it.
Ok… this is going to be a bit of a rant, so forgive me. 
As of now, Punxutawney Phil up in PA has not seen his shadow and thus, magically, spring will arrive rightnow! What? It didn't?
Never heard of this one, but did you see that Mountain Murray, Maryland's own rat with an over-inflated sense of self-importance has said "Nope… no spring here… more snow… RIGHT NOW!" Hmmm… nope, that's not right either… but at least he's probably closer to the truth.
It is warm today.. might even make it to 50 down in DC, but soon we may have the cold slap of central Maryland winter across the face as we eye another potentially massive winter storm for the weekend. (Yes, they are all potentially massive this year… it's the kind of pattern we have going on right now.) I think we'll see a couple of inches of sloppy snow at this point. I'm not going to post a TP Index for now, as it is still to early to call.
The one saving grace is that since we're seeing "warmer" temperatures for the next couple of days, it will probably keep the precipitation in the mixed realm.
